Running along the spectacular Meuse River valley, the
Trans-Ardennes bike path offers an easy 85 km ride between
Charleville–Mézières and Givet,
near the Belgian border.
Situated 1 hr 45 mins from Paris by TGV, Charleville–Mézières,
with its elegant blond façades, represents an
ideal point of entry to the route laid out along the
former towpath. The train which runs along the valley
allows you to adjust your outing as you please and to
come back without being tired. Enjoy a perfect weekend
in the heart of nature.
In the future, the Trans–Ardennes bike path will
be extended to the south towards Sedan and Mouzon, going
back up through the Meuse River valley.
Use of
these paths at your own risk. The local authorities
